Mesothelioma Campaign Victory

Dear All

As you know, on 16 December 2015 the MOD changed the rules to allow veterans diagnosed with mesothelioma on or after that date the choice between receiving a one-off, tax-free lump sum payment or a traditional War Disablement Pension, which is paid in regular installments.

Equal pension rights for Veterans of Her Majesties Forces serving before 1975

Submitted by Carl Beeson 17 Jan 16.
Dear friends,

I just signed the petition "Equal pension rights for Veterans of Her
Majesties Forces serving before 1975." and wanted to ask if you could add
your name too.

This campaign means a lot to me and the more support we can get behind it, the
better chance we have of succeeding. You can read more and sign the petition

New Bunting's badge

Submitted by Alan Barry 19th Nov 15.

Please find attached picture of latest Royal Navy sleeve cuff badge worn by seaman branch personnel qualified in Tactical Communications e.g fleetwork, signal flags,  etc. Worn by A.B.s upwards.

This was introduced earlier this year - nearly "half crossed flags"???

The person with this cuff badge is, apparently,  known as the "Yeoman"

Comes around goes around - comes to mind!!!!!

I have 1 to bring to RNCA AGM to raffle - maybe! !

Help needed. Did anyone know Owen MacDonald

My name is Helen MacDonald, my late father is Owen MacDonald, who worked
at HMS Mercury & much later GCHQ. Unfortunately, I lost my dad at a young
age, if you have the time or knowledge of him, please get in touch.

Thanking you in anticipation.

Helen.

I wonder if anyone can help me. I am appealing for any information any of your members may have regarding my brother. I can identify him as a member of one of your photographs.

Here is a PowerPoint presentation https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6aKs1mcfQNA

BEWARE IF GOING TO CHATHAM OR FOLKESTONE!

Submitted by Nobby Hall via Carl Beeson 07 Oct 14.

Once again the Highway Agency only communicates with those on a computer who use social media!! I found out about this yesterday when discussing it with a mate and my proposed trip to Chatham in January thence March next
year.
Basically the present charge for a car is £2 paid at a toll booth as you pass through either at the end of Bridge South and before the tunnels North.
