RNA Helpline and a message concerning ‘Surviving Isolation’

Dear CONA Colleagues,

Please see below from the RNA General Secretary, Bill Oliphant concerning the RNA Helpline and a message concerning ‘Surviving Isolation’, which I personally thoroughly recommend.

Dear CONA Secretaries,

As previously promulgated, the RNA has established a Helpline for any member who is having difficulty achieving the Government imposed lockdown advice or, indeed, the shielding advice given to the over 70s.  Please can you remind your members that this Helpline facility exists on 07542 860082 open from 0900-2100 daily including w/e and public holidays.

In addition, I’d be grateful if you could give the attached excellent advice from our RNA Deputy National Welfare Adviser, Geoff Apperley, the widest possible dissemination please.

Finally, there are certain items of correspondence we all wish we had no need to promulgate however in these sad times I reluctantly commend the bereavement information below which may be of comfort to some.  Please know that I have already been in touch with the Chaplain of the Fleet, The Venerable Martyn Gough, to discuss organising suitable memorial services when it is once again safe to do so.  We’ll keep all CONA Secretaries informed.

Many thanks,

Bill
