DEDICATION OF ROYAL NAVAL COMMUNICATIONS ASSOCIATION PAVIOUR AT THE NATIONAL MEMORIAL ARBORETUM SATURDAY 25TH SEPTEMBER 2010
11 of us gathered on a beautiful sunny autumn day for a short dedication service at the Arboretum. The service was conducted by the Rev. Tony Wood, the reading was made by Graham Lloyd and the Act of Remembrance by yours truly. After the short but moving ceremony we adjourned for lunch and then spent most of the afternoon touring the Arboretum. It was a busy day, among the other services taking place that day was HMS Jupiter’s dedication service. The arboretum goes from strength to strength and every time I visit there have been many changes and additions.
We had a very good weekend, a great hotel with superb food and a very efficient and friendly team led by Nigel Fielding (Ex Chief Steward, HMS Glamorgan in the Falklands).
For anyone who has not yet visited I would encourage you to make the effort and if you been before it is well worth a return.
