Cenotaph 2017

Remembrance Sunday 2017
Watching the TV coverage of the Remembrance Sunday parade and the interviews with various serving and former service folk  it appeared to me that there was a distinct bias towards the junior service (crabs), with coverage being given to almost all the RAF sections and very little on the RN and a passing mention to the SAMA contingent. Its about time the RN raised the public relations game. I read recently that the first aircraft to land on HMS Queen Elizabeth will be piloted by a RAF Squadron Leader!! Perhaps one of those Sea Harriers squirreled away by the FAA could appear onboard before she enters Portsmouth again.
Have any other members noticed the modern junior rates cap, there is absolutely no shape to it and resembles an old  white enamelled bed pan. What happened to the caps we used to stretch and bend into a shape that would sit tightly on your head and defy near gale force winds to dislodge.
There is a buzz going round the dockyard  that the RN is going to fit MCOs in ships again, and that the "greenies" are letting the "comms" return to the Ops department, I suppose this will mean another change of branch badge!
